It isn't the equipement (sure it can help) but really...back when digital was just becoming mainstream, with the 4mp 1D, people where blowing those pictures up quite a bit...you don't "need" a Hasselblad, or a D3s. Work with what you have! Hey!

Right you are. I've got a growing collection of images I shot with my 3GS, and some of my most popular landscapes were shot with my Rebel XSi! For sure, having better hardware makes your options wider, and enables you do work at a bigger scale or higher level, but I will never ever be a gear snob. Right you are Eric. Right you are.
